not sure whats going on...and to be honest its not that big of a deal...because all i do is pull the battery and the phone reboots...and all is fine...

but sometime...my phone will reboot itself...and i press the power button...and it wont turn on. not sure why.

here is my set up:
SuperCleanv.9
VooDoo5

thats it...anyone every see something like this?

its werid too, i cant seem to reproduce the issue. the last time it happened was right now...i was backing up my apps with TB...and the screen went black. i thought it was still running, but when i pressed the power button...nothing...

anyone?

What voodoo 5 kernel are you on? Is it undervolted or overclocked or both?

That sounds like the result of your phone not loving the kernel you are using....everyones phone is unique in how the react to a particular kernel

Agreed that sounds like a classic oc/uv instability

it is the OTB 1.1 LV @ 1.2. I tried the OTB 1.1 LV @ 1.1...but my phone didnt boot...so i kept the 1.2.

so should i flash another voltage? lower? or higher? which would you guys suggest?

also, if i do flash another kernel (correct me if i'm wrong), but i do not need to disable VooDoo5 right? i can flash right now VooDoo with another VooDoo...right?

Knew it, yeah perhaps your hummingbird does not like the uv. I'd recommend trying the lastest test5 versions for uv or test6 for sv. FWIW, test 5 is the most stable of the uv kernels and test6 is all stock volts. One of the two should work.
And yes you can flash a voodoo5 right over another voodoo5 kernel

i just flashed OTB test6 sv 1200. and i ran a quad test...i scored a 2039...that is pretty high...the highest i've scored on this phone.

that is cool...but...when i scroll between screens...there is still a bit of hesitation...not sure why...

should i try the ul?

or move up to the 1300?

Yeah honestly try them all. You never know what your individual phone likes till you try it. Some phones like OC, some like UV some are in between. If you can run the 1300 run it, if you can run UV stably it will give you better battery life than SV of course. Please note, every few can run 1300 stably but you dont know till you try. Most of us end up on 1200. Im on 1200uv myself
The scrolling between screens is that just your homescreens? If so what launcher you using. With LP you can speed up scrolling speed. Also regardless of which launcher you use make sure you only have one. If you like TW thats fine but dont have multiple ones installed as they do increase lag. If you like ADW or Zeam or LP then get rid of TW and there will be a difference you will see and appreciate http://androidforums.com/fascinate-all-things-root/205635-goodbye-touchwiz.html

i am good at the guessing :)

thanks everyone for the help...but it looks as though i still have issues...

i flashed all the test 5 and test 6 1.1 - 1.3ghz...and they all were shutting down my phone. so i restored my anadroid...but it didnt recover my previous state...it looks like it restored my current set up...SO WERID!!!

and it still shut down...so i disabled lag fix...i hope that will give me some fix...maybe??

so now that its disabled...can i flash another kernel? same process?

i'm so frustrated!!

i would just flash jts latest voodoo from xda and see if stock speed plays nicely with your phone

pop out the sdcard and load the kernel onto it with another phone or card adapter...i would also do a factory data reset and cache wipe in cwr as well

if i do a factory data reset...do i need to reflash my superclean rom?

seems stable right now...heres what i did...

i disabled voodoo...i also disabled the debug and something that say system...is that correct?

anyway...then i flashed otb 1.1 vl @ 1.1ghz...w/ voodoo and the other two things disabled...

and everything seems ok...i will report back to see if anything changes...

oh, i also changed batteries...not sure if that matters, but i had a second battery handy...so i thought i would try it...plus my OG battery was dying...

Before you wipe everything, try wiping cache in cw before and after you next kernel flash, sometimes it can help

oh, wipe before i flash the new kernel...i was wiping after...

:D cause i so used to wiping after my messes...hahahaha!!

Well it should not matter much really but when you hit a wall like you did you cant over wipe:p.

this thing is so unstable...every time i connect (either to charge or to computer) it shuts down...i am going to flash the 1221 test voodoo...see how that goes...

wish me luck...

yeah let us know how that goes...whenever i run into serious issues (or just for the heck of it) i wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, and fix permssions

if all else fails...odin will correct a lot as well....but i doubt it ll come to that

does a data/factory reset remove the ROM/radio/kernel? in this case superclean/dj05/voodoo5?

voodoo 1221 is flashed on. seems ok...but what i've noticed is that as soon as i plug it in to charge (either computer or the wall) it freezes/shuts down...

right now i have it connected to my computer w/ mounted sd...that seems to keep it out...but if i unmount my sd...it freezes...soooo werid...

oh...and voodoo is disabled...should i enable?

voodoo being enabled/disabled shouldnt cause the issue you are describing....factory data reset doesnt touch the rom/kernel

if this issue persists, it *might* be an odin time

spoke too soon...it seems stable...i have it connected...no shut downs in the past five minutes...i'm not going to touch it for a while...

but just in case...what would i have to do through odin? what files should i download? just to be prep'ed...
