Root Fascinate shuting down...randomlly...

spoke too soon...it seems stable...i have it connected...no shut downs in the past five minutes...i'm not going to touch it for a while...

but just in case...what would i have to do through odin? what files should i download? just to be prep'ed...

you could use adrynalynes all in one dio1 odin package....but you ll have to reroot afterwards. http://androidforums.com/fascinate-all-things-root/238460-di01-odin-fix-all.html#post2089520

or individual files from here Odin Restore files to get you to stock - xda-developers

thanks for the info!!

i enabled VooDoo...with the 1221 stock speed kernel...everything (so far) seems ok...

thanks you guys for all the help!!

here is a random question...i just noticed that four new files appeared on my sd card:

voodoo_cache_conversion_saved.tar.lzo
voodoo_data_conversion_saved.tar.lzo
voodoo_dbdata_conversion_saved.tar.lzo
voodoo_system_conversion_saved.tar.lzo

what are they? and two of them are pretty big...so can i delete them? or do i need them?

werid they appeared after i enabled voodoo...

so far so good...no reboots...no freezes...

keep your fingers crossed...
Yeah dont touch anything voodoo. The only thing I would ever touch is the disable lagfix file. I would always delete that file prior to returning to a voodoo kernel if I went back to rfs to test something for geeknik. But now that Im all voodoo all the time its a non issue

my phone is doing the same thing, even when I am on a call. Had a soft reboot and a hard reset. Nothing worked. Sent for a replacement.

Just reporting in...i was able to flash OTB 1.1 @ 1.2ghz...and it is running fine...no issues, no shut downs.

What I did was disable voodoo...then flash voodoo @ stock speed. Then I reflashed voodoo @ 1.2 and enabled voodoo...

All is fine...thanks to saps and nitsuj...thanks!
