Help Faster bootup

Tired of how long it takes to boot up and i saw a app that allows the bootup to go faster. Does this work or does it hurt the system?

I'd say it hurts it, it prolly lets you choose what starts up when the phone boots, but if you dont know whats what it could very well break it all.

boot times suck mainly due to how small the internal memory is and cpu. Prolly nothing can be done about that. I rarely reboot my phone, its linux, not windows so it doesnt have too except for kernel upgrades lol

LuLu heres a question for ya since your on the stock rom, do you know where you web downloads go? thats is things you download via the web browser or from links in text msgs?

Mine are in my download folder on my sd card...hope it wasnt a trick ?

Same here... download folder on my SD card...

It will not allow me to download anything unless the SD card is inserted...

Try the Android Assistant app. It has a startup modifier. You can stop some of the apps you dont want from starting at boot. Just make sure it's apps your system does not need. It's free. My fastest boot up time was 1.13 seconds. Not too bad. I'm on Icarus though. Btw, The app does not require root.

Yes. The Android Assistant shows the time after everything has loaded. It's showed as a notification in the bar. ^.^

THX,but,that one was from SEPTEMBERSRAIN,I was asking about what app LULU had seen for faster bootup,if,it was a different one.She didn't say what it was.

No problem!I'm just in one of those moods once again to try some new apps out{when I get time},especially utility/tool apps that may potentially improve overall performance{speed,etc...}.
