Fatality: 2019

RIP Keith Flint you ****ing legend. I'd have thought he'd been mentioned before but if he had I missed it. Not a lot of people will recognise the name but most will recognise the face. The front man for my all-time favourite band, The Prodigy. You definitely will be missed by me and millions :(

I wish he wasn't dead but yeah right thread but read through the page I was put on thinking it was the last one. He was rightly so mentioned by lv though :(

I’m straight as an arrow, but recognized he was a hottie. ;)
I appreciate men who are comfortable enough in their own skin that they can see, and appreciate, how handsome another man is. :)

I'm the same way with women, having no problem saying "wow, she's sexy" or "look at those legs!"
I’d never have recognized him in his later years, though:

It's sad...he's unrecognizable. Unfortunately, quite a few famous people end up that way. :(

Olympic track cyclist Kelly Catlin, 23, who helped the U.S. women's pursuit team win the silver medal at the Rio de Janeiro Games in 2016, died Friday at her residence on Stanford University's campus in California.. Her father reports that she took her own life.

RIP, Kelly. I'm deeply saddened; words fail me. :( May your family, friends and loved ones find peace, somehow, through their grief.
No...not another one.

Condolences to those who loved and cared about Kelly.

I just read this update about Jan-Michael Vincent from KCBS:

Vincent passed away on Feb. 10 at a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. The certificate signed by a doctor says he died of natural causes and no autopsy was performed.

Natural causes? He must have been under treatment for something, hence being in the hospital and not requiring an autopsy at only 74.

An autopsy would only be performed if the cause of death was not known, suspicious, or criminality involved.
'Natural causes' just means the cause of death is not being revealed. That doesn't mean they don't know why he died.

Not here in California, that I'm aware of. "Natural causes" means just that, and usually only applies to the elderly. When someone who's 96 dies in their sleep, without having been undergoing treatment for anything, and there's no sign of foul play, it's natural causes.

Vincent was in a hospital. That means he was being treated...for something. If he was born with a heart problem, and his heart stopped, that may be considered natural causes. But if he had just had heart surgery and then his heart failed, that wouldn't be natural.

I'm just hypothesizing here, LV, not being argumentative. :) Living in LA, we see coroners and police chiefs and prominent doctors on TV every time a celebrity dies here. I can't recall another young-ish person dying, while hospitalized, and having it ruled natural causes. Here, they come right out and say what it was. :o

It's always a judgment call. For someone with a history of serious drug abuse, though, cardiac arrest at 74 is certainly a "natural" cause in the sense that it's a natural progression that is expected. Contrast Lotte Van Der Zee who had a heart attack at 19: there should be an autopsy because a heart attack at 19 is not natural.
Very good points.

Good grief. How stupid, needless and tragic for his loved ones. At least his blunder didn’t physically injure anyone else.

Justin Carter, a rising star in the country-western music world, has died after a gun he apparently had in his pocket accidentally fired while he was filming a music video, striking him near the eye. He was 35.
His accidental shooting death brings back memories of Jon-Erik Hexum, a young Hollywood hunk with everything going for him.

So senseless...

Bernie Torme, a veteran guitarist of the music stage and studio best known for his work with Ozzy, passed away last Sunday at the age of 66.

RIP, Bernie; hope the ride on the crazy train was a blast.
He died the day before his birthday, like that young woman...the beauty pageant one, did. Odd coincidence.

That's got to make all future birthdays even more difficult for their families.

Only 66. This is getting too close to home. He'd been on life-support for four weeks, after complications from the flu.

Actress Denise DuBarry, who appeared in a number of popular shows, including "Black Sheep Squadron" and “CHiPs” lost her battle with what was referenced as a deadly fungus, according to her husband. She was 63. :(

RIP, Denise. Thanks for sharing your talent over the years.
I was reading this very interesting article about her, and ended up on this list of celebrities who've died in 2019. So many young ones...
