Fatality: 2020

I just learned that Apollo 15 Command Module Pilot Al Worden passed away last March at the age of 88 (not Covid-19 related). I read his book "Falling to Earth" a while back and was lucky enough to meet him once (one year ago today in fact).

RIP, Mr. Worden. Thanks for all you did and your devotion to inspiring so many youth.

The wife said she is going to try and get a new one at Walmart
 
...getting back to the actual topic of the thread, Frankie Banali, who played drums for Quiet Riot’s best selling albums and was key to keeping the band going for 30+ yearson died Thursday. He was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer last April. Mr. Banali was 68.

RIP, Frankie, and thanks for sharing your talents and driving the beat behind lots of memorable tunes. Condolences to your family, friends, loved ones and many, many fans.

Justin Townes Earle has died at 38, with no cause of death reported.

Lute Olson, former coach of the Arizona Wildcats basketball team (who put them on the national map), passed away yesterday at 85 after suffering a stroke last year.

He created a powerhouse because he was a terrific person as well as a well-rounded coach. His players (and competitors) never had anything bad to say about him.

RIP, Lute, and thanks for sharing yourself with so many for so long. Your legacy will last a long time.

^^^ RIP, indeed. Chadwick was extremely talented and his breakthrough performance as Jackie Robinson in “42” was amazing. His turn as Thurgood Marshall was equally mesmerizing.

I was never a Mets fan, but I was always a Tom Seaver fan. He was someone liked by everyone (well, not if you were facing him from the plate, I guess!) and had a monster career, including a no-hitter with the Red Sox. Though Covid-19 took him, he was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia, which is its own tragedy.

RIP, Tom, and thanks for making a big positive mark for baseball.
 
Watching my Royals lose last night, the announcers had some very nice things to say about Tom. He was highly respected and liked by his peers. A good man and a gracious host to many a ball player. It seems he was a true talent on as well as off the diamond. RIP Tom.

Damn. I lusted after her in a bikini in The Avengers before I knew what lust was.

Played Mrs James Bond in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

Briefly met her in the Nineties {kinda).

Great lady. Long career. Forever young.
Rest in Peace

i agree. there would be several books, if i had to put down everything that i appreciate about the "notorious RBG"..........i am glad that she can finally rest.
