Fatality: 2021

Just saw on the news that Larry King has died at 87. They haven't released an official cause of death yet, but the reporter noted that he had been admitted to Cedars-Sinai, where he died, earlier this month for COVID-related issues.

Thank you Larry for the great, varied, entertaining interviews you did over the years. May you and your suspenders RIP.

I just heard that actor Cloris Leachman has died at 94. I don't know yet what she died from.

Leachman was one of the first, if not the first, celebrities I knew of who was vegetarian. Long before *I* was vegetarian. Once I learned about the meat industry, my respect for her increased tremendously.

RIP Ms Leachman. Your long and storied career as an actor has been appreciated by many, as is your commitment to living a compassionate lifestyle and being a role model for others to look up to.

We've lost another legend, actor Cicely Tyson. I've just heard of her death, and don't know any details yet. She was 96.

RIP Ms Tyson, and thank you for your outstanding work as an actor, which was memorable. I feel lucky to have watched your performance in one of the most groundbreaking mini-series of all time, Roots.

Dustin Diamond, best known for playing Samuel "Screech" Powers on "Saved by the Bell" has died of lung cancer at 44.

I was outside the target audience for the show, but it was much beloved by many.

RIP, Dustin, and thanks for sharing your talents for others to enjoy. Condolences to your fans, friends, and loved ones.

I watched it off and on for the first two seasons, I think it came on right after cartoons on Saturday morning

I'm absolutely overwhelmed this morning from news of deaths... Here are a few:

Hilton Valentine, one of the founding members of the Animals, has died at 77. No cause of death yet.

Multi-award winning actor Hal Holbrook has died. He was 95.

British Capt Tom Moore, who was knighted recently for his fundraising efforts for COVID-19, has died at 100--from COVID-19.

There's more, but not right now.

Just getting alerts that actor Christopher Plummer has died at 91. No details yet. He certainly lived a full, productive life!

According to his wife, via the NYT, he died as a result of a head injury from a fall: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/05/movies/christopher-plummer-dead.html

He made the most of every role that came his way. Did you see him in "The Man Who Invented Christmas" and "Nicholas Nickelby?" Just a tremendous actor who will be sorely missed. RIP, Mr. Plummer, and thank you for sharing your considerable talents.
