Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

My new favorite app has got to be thumbplay.. It's a music cloud, think lala.com or spotify. Nice interface, for $10 a month you have every album you could ask for at your fingertips, and the pc client is even nicer. Offline caching is coming soon. My favorite part of it is the play list genie....find a song you like and it can build a play list with similar songs for you (like pandora)

so far PLACES has been the most useful app I've downloaded.

I also loaded Sportstap so next summer when my husband says "what's the Red Sox score" every 20 minutes I'll be able to tell him quickly :D

The app I'm most looking forward to using is shopsavvy! YEAH BABY!

I've had a problem with the SportsTap widget not displaying any games, then, not being linked to the app. I killed it, just use the program now.

Swype is nice, unless you missed the beta and there's no sign of an official release...

Surely everyone's trial beta has expired, no?

Just got my HTC Inc. and some how managed to find a copy of swype around. Great app. Takes a little while to get used to, but in a few days I can see myself never typing on my phone again.

Still a newb but here's my top 5

Aldiko- Never be without a read again.

Google sky map- Amazing.

Shazam- Has worked everytime,quality.

Augsatnav- NEVER get lost again.

Calvin and Hobbes- Start every day with a smile.

The apps i like the most on my x10 are,

Google Sky Map

Bump - File transfer

FX Camera

Evernote

Layar

myRemote - cracking romote control app for windows 7 media player interface

WeatherBug

OpenTable

Beebplayer - bbc iplayer

Barcode Scanner

I tried Shapewriter, and unless Swype is phenomenally better I just don't get the appeal of it. Swipe typing falls apart if your word:

- Has a lot of repeated letters
- Is a proper noun
- Is slang
- Intentionally misspelled

Amongst others. At least with a tap keyboard I can kinda play with the autocorrect, but I was trying to use Shapewriter just to write "firefox" and it couldn't do it.

I find swype to be much faster than shapewriter overall. I just find the swype's auto correct to be a bit more annoying since it's a pop up box in your type box instead of having box one row above the keyboard dedicated to auto correct. You can use shapewriter/swype as a 'normal' qwerty keyboard and punch in the letters. I punch in the letters if 'swyping' doesn't recognize what my word is, and save it to the dictionary.

MLB At Bat 2010 - Can't live without listening to my Yankees, especially during office hours (now only if they add live video!!!)
Skyfire - Support Flash (most anyway)
Camera Zoom FX - one of the best camera app out there (I got it mainly for the "no shutter sound")
Barcode Scanner - use it almost every other day
andtorrent - haven't used it much but I'm sure it comes in handy (i like to download things directly onto my phone)
Es file Explorer - helps me manage my files and other things (app installer also AND I can access my laptop's files from my phone with this!!!)
PhonemyPC - control my laptop when i'm away
WUZHENHUA Player - allows me to watch my movies and shows that I download in .rmvb format without having to convert them (it has its flaws but its the ONLY player that plays RMVB right now)

GMOTE -

So I downloaded the app and set up the server on my computer (MAC OSX 10.5.8) and my incredible can connect to my computer but I seem to be unable to control anything, any ideas?

[edit]

well i got it to work, and it controls everything in iTUNES perfectly, but what if I want to use it to control VLC? It doesn't seem to work on VLC??

ANYBODY SEARCHING FOR THE SWYPE.APK (APP)

I downloaded the first version of it (beta) here in the Root section, but if you want it and dont have Root or have Root, go to Droid-Life.com or some variant of it and you'll find it there including other themes of it.

Keep in mind that I think this app is for Droid users only.

Yeah I'm a rater of Swype, wipes the floor with ShapeWriter.

Just downloaded "In-App Wifi Toggle", very simple but incredibly useful app, will probably use this multiple times everyday.

1. Google Voice - free sms
2. Google Maps - turn by turn gps navigation plus traffic
3. Places Directory - best app to find a store/restaurant/etc.
4. ShopSavvy - Better than barcode scanner and google shopper
5. Youtube Downloader - Not on market anymore but best video and audio downloader off youtube
6. Astro - best file manager
7. App Protector Pro - password protect your apps
8. Advanced Task Killer - Kill those pesky apps that kill battery
9. Carr Matey - Find your car in a crowded parking lot
10. Dropbox - no longer need to usb connect to your computer to transfer files

OH...I'm checking Document-to-go and it's on sale for $5.55 (regular price is a wooping $29) until May 10th...hmm...now I'm debating if I should break my rule...'only install free apps' since buying my phone has caused me to go broke :( I will try the free version and see if I like it first XD

HomePipe is the best app of all time.

ShapeWriter is quickly becoming a close second. I almost feel like a fool for talking shit on trace-style keyboards.

It's five bucks versus thirty. If you think you'll EVER need it, you've got no excuse. I've spent bout $12 on apps so far, no regrets.
