Watchdog - a widget that shows CPU used and idle %. Also gives notifications when apps start hogging CPU and let's you kill them of you want.

SeePU - a notification bar icon that can show network, RAM, and CPU usage

2. F-Plus(blue notify)- Sends facebook notifications to your phone
3. Swype(most recent version)- replacement keyboard
4. Beautiful widgets- Clock Widget and weather widgert for home screen
5. HideNseek- Allows ability to hide pictures video and files you dont want people seeing

6. Estrongs File explorer- allows app backup blue tooth sharing and root access: pwns Astro
7. Adobe flash- watch anything
8. gochat pro- the hands down absolute best dedicated facebook chat app

9. Auto killer(root only) -automatic task manager. install and forget :-)
10. Set cpu(root only) drastically improve battery life or phone speed by manually tweaking your phones processing power
*11*. *AdFree* (root Only)- Block ALL ads in non paid apps and browser
12. Cache Cleaner(root only)- I installed this and got 20 extra MB out of nowhere. Awesome


I can go on forever but anyway theres so many good ones (13. handcent, 14. Music Junk). If any apple fanboy ever tells you that iphone apps are better you should go on the market and download 15."caller id faker"; i promise you he will be rendered speechless.

I love calorie counter. It has helped me lose 60 pounds since may!

tower raiders
I can't believe how long I've played this game. I'm trying to beat it's many, many maps on hard atm.

battery time
only reason I use it is for the % left on the status bar. Just wish android would let me replace the stock icon.

led desire light
use the camera flash led as a torch. I love being able to vary the light brightness. This app is designed for the HTC desire though.

Sleep timer
I'll add a 6th since not everyone has a desire. set a timer to stop audio playback automatically.

Congrats! :) I've lost a few pounds, but I use it more to "keep me honest" and as a preventative measure. It's definitely a great app.

Thanks. It is hard but this app definitely helps, once I lose another 70 lbs I am going to keep using the app to make sure it never comes back!

Basically it allows me to add torrents to my home network media server remotely, took a little perseverance to get it all set up but well worth it.

GOOGLE MAPS/ NAVIGATION..duh

WIDGET LOCKER.. another MUST HAVE! want to have your unlock screen look and act like an iphone? this app will do that and more

ZEDGE..cool for wallpapers/ ringtones (although mine is always on vibrate and using live wallpapers...*galactic core and city at night are by far the best ones out there*
 
For growing my movie/tv series collection:
1) Torrent-fu - Remotely control torrents from my phone, includes bar code scanner and search
WITH/
2)IMDB - Just a well designed simple app by imdb. Find movies/tv shows, proceed to download using torrent-fu.

Phone Security:
1)Lookout - Find my phone when missing, set off alarm, backup stuff, antivirus. Just like knowing that if I lose my phone or have it stolen, it might just be a click away.

Customization:
1)Laucher Pro - of course
2)Widget Locker - ""
3)SwitchPro - nice toggle widget with transparent capabilities
4)Beautiful Widgets - Fancy weather/clock widget

Show off to friends apps:
1)Layar - Virtual 3d app for seeing stuff around you. Add layars like shops, wikipedia, etc. Very cool.
2)Google Sky Map - Of course
3)Google Goggles

1)Gas Buddy - See gas prices anywhere. Great app.
2)Score Mobile - nothing beats it. Great sports app.

i see it as really good because i never have to take my finger off my screen and i find typing a lot faster after you get over the learning curve that comes with knowing where all the letters are ... and you can set certain gestures to type in phrases you use the most like i have a counter clockwise circle and it prints out hey sup and i can send it...

Hell yeah! I have a qwerty but still love swype to do things quickly in portrait mode. Only discovered Twicca today but finally its got mix of ui and features I've been after. Tweetdeck is too short of features, and twidroid is a little ugly and now has ads.
