Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

1) Tasker (How can nobody have mentioned this yet? It's a clear #1 for me.)

2) X-scope (Dolphin always felt slow and clunky even on my Desire with 2.2. Finally can get rid of it now.)

3) Springpad

4) TuneIn Radio

5) 3G WatchDog

Gosh, very hard to narrow down to just 5 ...

1. LauncherPro+
2. Tasker
3. Audible
4. Astro
5. Astrid

and of course, all the Google apps which I didn't mention because that would have been more than 5, so you didn't see this.

Launcher Pro - Runs great, smoother than stock launcher
Homerun Battle 3D - just good fun
Laputa Reader - I like reading, and this screen is good for that
Google Voice - Free texting FTW!
AppBrain - Helps me keep my other awesome apps backed up and sync'd

I have had my Galaxy S for 4 days now and im completely addicted to tunein radio. Glad to see someone else appreciates this awesome App.

No particular order:

launcher pro plus
tunein radio
music junk
battstatt
d-clock widget
voice search

honorable mentions (sorry, just too hard to pick 5!):

lightning bug
music mod
cachemate
places
pandora
google voice

LauncherPro: Amazing Launcher
ChompSMS: Epic SMS app
Widget Locker: Puts widgets on the lockscreen.
Music(CM6 one): I'd be dead without it.
Battle.net Mobile Authenticator: So I can play WoW and Starcraft II.

I just downloaded Flash TV, get live TV right to your device.

I tried it out and it worked great...although only with the wifi on, but probably to be expected...

It's a newer app, but CBS (East), USA Network, CNN and ESPN2 are notably viewable with a lot of other stations.

Is there a FREE version of the locale app? If so, what is it called? When I searched it in the Android Market, there were many different ones.

I've been slowly reading this entire thread and came upon some nice new apps to install :)

I'm loving LauncherPro
I'm hating JuiceDefender (too complicated)

Other Faves:
Pandora
tuneIn Radio
TweetCaster
Beautiful Widgets
Barcode Scanner

I'm loving Root Explorer these days. Total control and tweaking.
SetCPU is now invaluable with OC/UV kernels too

For me, I cannot pin down a single app. There are too many out there that perform a host of different things. Instead, I'll tell you what I downloaded and why. I have others, but they may be leaving my phone soon, as I have not found them very useful.
  • Compass: Okay, so I never really NEED this, but it is so cool to use. Pretty self-explanatory app.

Another vote for Compass. It's not necessarily my favorite app or the one I'd use the most often, but it's cool -- especially for someone like me who has NO sense of direction!

I've been trying to use Shop Savy and Barcode scanner with no luck. It just scans and scans and scans..... and scans....
Am I doing something wrong here?

Apps are like lays potato chips you can't have just one...so with that being said my top 3 fav. apps. are music blaster, laputa, and runkeeper. My only worry is about music blaster...are my musicdownloads illegal??? If anyone knows please reply.

Love my EVO

I think I just might have to take back that Seesmic is my favorite app. Yeah it s cool having tweets coming in and out, but I love my sleep more and I started using "White Noise" which makes me go to sleep with different sounds (Ocean waves is my favorite). Haven't had such a good nights sleep in ages.
