So how does Amazon get the apps in the first place? And can a developer refuse to have their asp on there or is it just there id its on the Android market anyone know?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

Developers sign up with them of course, lol. Amazon can't have an app in their store without the Dev's consent (signed contract). So how does Amazon get the apps in the first place? And can a developer refuse to have their asp on there or is it just there id its on the Android market anyone know?

humm this dosent sound like to much for for them but i mean the end user can come out on top sometimes i guess its just a question of your own moral
grammatical error...it's supposed to be 'can't' and not 'can'. Fixed my post and your quote :/
That really sucks for that developer, but color me skeptical.
If this were the case across the board, would any developers be putting their apps in the Amazon app store? I don't doubt that some may have had bad experiences, but I haven't seen widespread reports of these kinds of problems. This is what, two devs?
They say they haven't received a dime from Amazon for one single sale. If that were how Amazon were really conducting business, how many apps would currently be in the Amazon appstore? It sounds to me like there may be other variables at play here that were not disclosed, or that this is someone with an axe to grind. The store's been open six months now--if they weren't remitting payment to the developers, they'd all have left.
That said, this isn't to defend the Amazon appstore--I am not a fan, and largely stopped using it when I noticed that one of my apps was more than 2 months behind the official market version (that, and I *hate* that I can't remove apps from the list.) I've taken advantage of a few FAOTDs to try things out, but if I'm going to buy an app, I go to the official store.
But I wouldn't take one or two isolated complaints as gospel--there are likely other issues between Amazon and the dev in those cases that may be coloring the reports.
In the interest of staying on topic, however... some apps that are go-to essentials for me:
Google Maps & Nav
Aldiko reader
Root Explorer
CamScanner

I can't choose one! :O
I have HTC DHD and what really improved my Android experience is SwiftKey X, the default keyboard was killing me! I also recently discovered GO Launcher X and now I'm having even more fun. And as a photography fan I love Little Photo.
I love the layout. Also willing to buy, but can't get the Prediction to work. Heck, I can't even find the area in setting's for Prediction. LOL Anyone care to weigh in? TIA
Agreed i tried the opera mini last night and it can't hold anything to dolphin
Sorry if my views upset people, but it is how I feel. Try before you buy does not play in the fresh fruit section of the market or the restaurant.
For me, Dolphin resembles a desktop browser more so than any browser I tried. But ultimately an app ~ any app! ~ is only as good as you, the user, like it. Try Dolphin and judge for yourself; that's what I did. How's it any better than the standard browser?
OK, let me guess. Your favorite app is the one you wrote?
