For all you food lovers out there... which I assume is all of you!...

What are your favorite cuisines?

I understand that there are so many different ones in the world, but I'll try to choose the most familiar ones for the poll. I will also lump together a group of cuisines that are less common, like the ones from Africa. Choose Other if it's not listed.

You can choose more than one!

When it comes to buffets, nothing fills you up like Indian. Every white person I've taken to an Indian restaurant comes in regretting it and leaves extremely satisfied, not the other way around like most may have you believe.

If it's fast food, or carry-out, nothing beats Chinese. I'm a sucker for fried rice and I can pretty much make it like they do in those small kitchens you normally order carry-out from.

As far as sitting down to eat properly... I guess American food is the best way to describe it. Steaks, mashed potatoes, etc. I'm a big fan of Pappadeaux as there's one just down the street from my parents' house in Chicago and they're all over Atlanta. But I'm a sucker for seafood. I've yet to head to the Bayou or NO/Mobile where they say it's the best down there.

Wow, I think I could tick all of those. Indian would have to be my favorite though, nothing like a good Madras.

I had never had Chinese food until the girlfriend demanded that I go outside my comfort zone for once.

Needless to say, I make it a habit to eat Chinese at least once a week now. Mostly just a nice bowl of rice (I love rice with a passion unknown to any other food).

Spanish, Italian, American and Japanese.. in that order :)

I'm allergic to seafood and I dislike very spicy foods so it kinda limits what I ingest.

Gotta pick Italian, or my wife will smack me! ;)

Seriously though, I eat like a champ - who could complain!

King Crab, Lobster, Soft Shell Crab with a side of Butter = Meaning of Life.

Sooo.. Ocean cuisine ;)

I find that people from all over the world are equally tasty. ;)

Seriously, I eat Chinese at least once a week. My girlfriend is Italian and my neighbors are Indian, French, Japanese, Mexican and Guatemalan so we all trade dishes on a regular basis. We also have Greek, Hungarian, Korean and Colombian families that we trade recipes with. We just recently started a sort of pot luck dinner every Sunday where we pick names from a hat and take that person's dish home for dinner. We haven't had a bad meal yet.

I was tempted to tick them all too. I think if I was forced to pick a favorite it would be Mexican. I was in Mexico twice in the last year and authentic Mexican food is amazing.

i went chinese and spanish.. with real spanish being my favorite... The type of spanish food that is best is Criollo!

My all-time favorite would have to be Korean because that's the kind of food that I grew up with. If I don't have it for a while... I start really craving it. I remember the first semester I went off to college in Indiana. I was dying by the time I went home for Thanksgiving and all I ate for those 4 days was Korean food. My mom is a very traditional Korean woman and so, when she was growing up as the eldest daughter... she had to help with preparing and cooking everything that my grandmother made, so she knows basically how to make every traditional food. Any of the modern Korean food she doesn't know how to cook.

I'm going to make sure that I learn how to make everything that she remembers, especially the family recipes, because if she died right now, a whole host of great knowledge would be lost.

What's wrong with Taco Bell? Lol. They have good stuff, but authentic is way better.

Don't get me wrong, when I feel like throwing a ticking time bomb into my stomach I can think of no better place. But Taco Bell is meant for late night runs IMHO.
