Favorite football (NFL) teams?

I have family down in Houston. I was visiting over the summer and saw the news that you guys hated Kubiak and wanted to fire him. They threw out some mentions of replacements, quite a few were for McDaniels (prior to him going to St Louis). I was dying of laughter (Denver fan, glad he got the boot).

I don't know, just my 2 cents but you guys are finally getting good and are a legit team now, and all of a sudden now you want to fire Kubiak? IMO he's taken the Texans when they were a joke to the point of now where they're contendors. At least he's showing progress, but it has taken a long time to get to that point. Just an outsider's point of view, but I'm sure there's more to it than just that.

But I do give props to you hardcore Saint guys. Sticking through the hard times till you guys finally got the championship. Good to see real Saint fans and not the million bandwagon Saint "fans" that magically appeared recently.

HA HA I don't think any fanbase has endured as much as Houston fans

Houston Oilers - 3 and half decades with No Championship.

Houston Texans - 9 seasons no playoffs.

This City is snakebit

BTW - the Rockets and Astros are just as inept as the Texans.
I dunno the Saints have sucked since their inception in 1967 until recent years, hell it took them 13 years just to get a .500 season, so Saints fans feel your pain!

Yea I was born a Saints fan and will die one, through the good and the bad!

Yea Saints fans and maybe Browns fans have seem some bad days. I've been a silent supporter for the Saints ever since my childhood idol was traded to the Saints back in the 80s (I'm sure you can guess who that was).

I was so happy for the city of New Orleans when y'all finally won a Super Bowl. With the whole Katrina disaster and displacements I can't think of any other fanbase that was more deserving.

Holy crap ive got so tired of hearing that crap....it has nothing to do with football......they didn't gain super athleticism bc they houses were flooded.....my god watching a prime time Saints game is like torture....all the damn Katrina crap every other commercial....you guys won bc Drew Brees was the best and nobody could stop the spread.... except us haha...lol

Dude chill out, nobody said that was the reason why they won

Selective reading FTL ... I'm not even a Saints fan.

I do agree though, I was sick and am still sick about hearing of Katrina. I'm totally glad when Brees first came in it was a spirit lifter for the city, but as MyTj said, it has nothing to do with football. But even then, the Superbowl was four years later and the media was acting like it just happened.

I do put almost all the blame of that "sympathy card" on the media though. The team itself wasn't pushing it, it was the TV and reporters.

New Orleans doesnt ask for sympathy, it's not our fault the MEDIA wants to play that card.

As for you stopping us, so, you won one game, we won the superbowl....

Superbowl> one regular season game.

You should have seen how crazy the city was when we won, I swear it was the biggest party ever. LOL

As for the "spread" the spread formation does not exist in pro football.

Spread,multiple,one-back, those are all college terms.

Exactly we can't help what the media says.

I can understand people getting tired of the media playing the pity card but I was volunteering with the red cross during that time and I witnessed a lot of this first hand. I remember setting up cots in the Astrodome, handing out water etc. As you can remember, half the city was relocated to Houston. Even now there are quite a few New Orleans natives still here.

I was there for the game. It was crazier than any Mardi Gras I've seen. My friends and I got to NOLA late so every place to watch the game was filled. We ended up watching the game in the lobby of the Doubletree Hotel. It started with me and two of my friends and slowly other people came at started watching the game. By halftime we had over 100 people crammed around a single TV. Also I went to the NFC Championship Game and that was easily the greatest game I've seen in person. I've never enjoyed partying as much as I did after those two games.

It's all good man :)

New Orelans Saints. My first live NFL game was the Chargers @ Saints International Series at Wembley Stadium in October 2008 and I've been a fan since :)

If we're talking soccer as well, I've been a lifelong Nottingham Forest fan and always will be

Born and bred Dallas Cowboys fan. Love the team, loathe the owner. BUT he did build an awesome stadium.

NFL: The New York Football Giants.

NCAA: Michigan Wolverines (though very actively pull for South Carolina Gamecocks and Rutgers Scarlet Knights...what, you can get away with that in college. lol)

And for gits and shiggles, I'll say Man U for our non-American football lovers.

If I haaaad to choose one... it would probably be the Colts since I studied in IN for 3 years. It'll probably change to NY Giants as I study and work there. hehe
