Help Fellow MacUsers: Some insight please :)

Welcome to Android Forums, Luke!

I'd be surprised if there was no way to sync with an iTunes library on a Mac, as it can definitely be done with one on a PC. Hopefully someone with hands-on experience will chime in with a definitive answer.

Thanks for the welcome!

Well, if you can sync iTunes under Win with the SII that's at least something I guess :D

Btw. I'm a little confused concerning the micro-SD card that you can put in additonally…
What maximum capacity is the SGSII able to handle? 16 or 32GB?

thanks!

i have a hackbook (Dell laptop, Snow Leopard, Win 7), never synced my S2 with the Mac side, but in fairness, do all my syncing wirelessly with WiFi transfer pro (android app), which can be done seamlessly via Mac or PC. as for KIES, only thing its good for is the drivers to run it on a PC.

i sync my itunes stuff via "isync", an android app which works off PC, i know this doesn't help your sitch, but maybe there is a Mac alternative.

Never heard of isync but a program with the same name is part of macosx as I just found out :). so got it installed already. Sounds great :)

Hi there again…

So, jumped the wagon and got me my SGS2 :). What an awesome device, that's for sure. Love the build-quality and haven't had any issues with andriod yet, everything super-smooth and easy to use!

Using "Songbird" to sync my iTunes Library and it works perfectly (for now)…all ID-Tags and covers are transferred correctly and smoothly! Pix shouldn't be a problem as iPhoto arranges them in folders named after the "event name"…so drag&drop should do here. Haven't tested it yet though!
As said, I was worrying most about my iTunes stuff but as for now it works without any problems. :)

so here you got it…love between those 2 devices IS possible :).

greets

LukeX, I've got a 64gb MicroSDXC in my SGS2 and it works just fine, just format it in the phone (the real problem is the enormous price tag). Also, I use iSyncr for iTunes but see that you've already got that covered. Kies is utter rubbish on the Mac, so much so I uninstalled it. TBH I don't need it as I sync contacts, calendars and gmail via Google.

The only time I need to plug my SGS2 into my Mac is for iTunes syncing or copying files via USB, so I don't think you'll have any problems with Android/Mac incompatibility.
