Root File location problem

My SD card recently died.
The picture of my son, which is currently my wallpaper is "lost" somewhere in the phone. I can't find where it is kept and HTC refuse to tell me.

hmm tricky one as it will be in some memory space within system so you will need to be rooted to the system files and dig around for them

i dont know where in system it would be.

when you say sdcard died in what way? did you try and recovery programs to get the data off it?
