Firefox Alpha Armv6 Download

I do NOT take any credit for this. All credit should go to Mozilla for bringing Firefox to armv6 devices.

I know this is pretty old news. :p But I'm doing this for people who don't know how to. ;)

Here's the link to download Firefox onto your LG Optimus V: Firefox Alpha armv6.apk - File Shared from Box - Free Online File Storage

If that download didn't work try this:
Firefox Alpha armv6.apk

You don't need to be rooted to install it.

Instructions for noobs: :p
1. Download the apk file onto your phone through the browser.
2. Go to your settings then applications and check unknown sources.
3. Find the apk file with a file browser like Astro File Manager.
Link for Astro File Manager: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.metago.astro&hl=en
4. Open your file manager and go to the downloads folder.
5. Click on Firefox Alpha armv6.apk
6. Install and enjoy! :D

If it opens like a HTML Viewer, try this:
1. 'Long press' on the file
2. Choose Rename
3. Erase everything and type ' Firefox Alpha.apk'
Make sure you have the '.apk' at the end! :)

I tested this a while back. I liked the interface, especially the execution of the tabs, but the incomplete features keep it from being a daily driver for me. Thanks for keeping this potentially great browser on everyone's radar!

Downloaded v14, broken for me :s

Broken how? Didn't install? Didn't run? Stole your checkbook and ran off with your girlfriend?
What happened?

*face desk* yeah maybe a description would be a good thing.

Install using a file manager(obv), launched the app, once launched it stayed at a white screen.

Ah, now we get somewhere. I'll check the md5 of the apk I have so we can compare. Might be a bad download. For the record, did you try uninstalling and re-installing?

brotherswing:The md5 sum is only for the specific download site that you used. Maybe you could include the actual link so members won't be thinking it's a bad download if they use the alternate site.

Try downloading it twice more to different folder locations. Then grab something like winmd5free and calculate checksums on all three. Now that I think about it, that's a lot of work. It's up to you, but that's what I would do.

Man, I installed this package 3 times and couldn't find it on my OV---finally wised up and realized they were calling the app "Nightly". Doh!
