Root firmware update 3.16.651.3 for s-on unlocked

I just want the latest update firmware 3.16.651.3 but I rooted htc method, s-on, unlocked, hboot 1.19.000, radio 1.12.11.0809. I have read through and mabe im missing something but I cant find anthing pertaining to ,s-on unlocked . any help would be great thanks in advance .

With S-ON, unlocked devices the only way to get the newest firmware is by either taking the OTA or running an RUU. Neither of which you'll want to do.

I would highly suggest gaining S-OFF

yeah you have to be s-off to update firmware.

Do I just go right to this method or do i need to go back to stock first , like I said I used HTC method ?

you can go straight to facepalm if you like. you just need to be rooted (su installed). i believe they said that it is recommended that you be on a sense based rom though.

I am completly stock otherwise I dont flash roms or anything just rooted for the wifi this phone is for work so i dont like to experiment to much ! and thank you .

well as long as you flashed the su file so that you have root permission then you should be good to go......and you should try some of the latest custom roms out there......they are so much better then stock. fast reliable and tweaked for performance and battery life.

the three i would suggest is:
for sense try viper4g and meanbean

for non sense aosp roms try pacman. this is the one i'm currently on. it is very small in size and i'm getting 30-35 hrs easily on this rom with the komodo kernel. everything works and the customization is amazing.
