Root Fission 2.1 final

Airmaxx23, I just wanted to say thanks for your post in #71 with how to change the battery! It also served as a quick and sufficient tutorial for NinjaMorph. You may just have caused me to want to do a lot more changes to themes (is theming basically taking all those framework images and altering the symbol or color thereof? :o).
 
2.2.2 has been released to the public.

Fission rom manager lite is now available to download.

He said that we should be seeing something to change the font colors in the notification bar in the rom manager sometime soon.

I'm glad you found it useful, and yes, theme-ing is basically just altering the images and symbols.
 
Well, I tried the newest Fission today, the install went fine but the music player will work. I've tried pulling the file from the zip and reinstalling it but it is still not working. I also tried install music mod and that won't play either. Any suggestions?

Edit: I've tried downloading a few different music players and nothing works.
 
I use poweramp and it works, cant say about the stock player, once I found out the Poweramp worked I deleted it. By the way Airmaxx, also thank you for the battery mod. With your tutorial I have been going crazy with Ninja Morph, Notification shade, key board keys, notification icons, etc. couldnt have done it without your clear instruction.

Are you on the new leak 2.3.320 or whichever it is cause that's a known problem with it.

I dont really follow the Fission scene much but isn't Fission still an OTA Rom not requiring the leak? If so that is the reason his media is not working.

Correct. It does not require the leak.

I'm on 2.3.15 running Fission 2.2.2 and the media player seems fine here.

I really don't use it though, so all I did was a quick test of it, but it fired up, showed podcasts that I had downloaded through doggcatcher, and played them, with no issues.

All of the other programs I use for audio seem to play ok as well.

You're on 2.2.2, correct? i noticed in the patch notes that they changed music players in the latest release.

From their site:

"2.2.1 -> 2.2.2
Reboot problem fixed
Email app updated, email app in 2.1 caused problems for some users.
Music app is now Moto default Music app."

If you would like me to test another player, shoot me a PM and I'll install it and give it a run.

Hey thanks for the info, nothing against Fission but I went back to Apex, even without being overclocked the newest version of Apex is blazing fast.

+1 this is what I was getting at. You don't need the leak but if you are on the leak several things wont work unfortunately. Changing which app you use to try and circumvent the problem wont fix it. It just breaks. Off the top of my head I know music and camera don't work when running fission over the leak :(

And I would have switched back as well with those problems.

Also, another known bug is that mute doesn't work while in a call. So while talking to your boss don't put him on mute and curse him thinking he wont hear you...he will..
 
Silly question but is 2.2.2 a patch or the full install? The reason I ask is because I downloaded 2.2.2 from Fission ROM Manager and it's about 50 megs less than the 2.2.1 that I'm running from Fission.

its a full install. it no longer includes the SD folder install which contained several files.
