Yes you need Voice Search to get the mic button =)

My kb does not have the mic button. How do I get it back?
Voice search? Is that an app? Forgive my ignorance. I'm just used to having it on my kb.

Voice search is in the market.
that is the black fission theme that is in the fission folder on your sd card.

sorry Trooper I was helping some one here at work =) but looks like Tom answered your questions already.... yes from Android Market download... voice search... and theme from yous fission folder =) nice huh!! =)

no voice search on the android keyboard, from what I saw. I ran fission 2.1 with the galaxy theme. Nice, but I always come back to my ApeX. It has a homing instict on me.

that's weird bc I haven't had a FC at all....
I'm new to rom's and all that jazz so please bear with me.
I've got Fission installed and everything is working fine. Before I flashed it i was using the adw launcher - i was only using this launcher for two reasons 1) to change the icons that are normally assigned to phone calls and internet (on the main home page) and 2) add more rows and columns.
My questions are as follows:
1. do i need adw to make the changes outlined above? or is their another way?
2. With fission how do i overclock
3. With fission how do i turn down the voltage?

1. there is a how to in the tips section that shows you how to change icons. You can also use ninja morph.

Do you have a link to the tips section? Am I also able to change the number or rows/columns?
Is ninja morph the same as using something like adw?

Which file did you install it from? Did you use the hotfix?

from Ad-ons from fission folder on my sd card.... I downloaded the file last night so not sure if the fix was already in the file....

No there was a separate file under the hotfix folder. One of the devs told me to try that. I think I will try the one in the add ons folder. Thank God for backups!

I took the zip from that folder...I don't have a hotfix folder =/

did you unmont/system before you install the DX KB.zip???
Also if you still have the link to donwload the 2.2.1 try to download the file again because I don't have a hotfix folder

/system needs to be mounted to make it read unmount/system. The hotfix folder is at the place where you downloaded the original rom from.

Yes indeed. I have been rebooting, then reboot into recovery, and mount /system and install add on!
No worries about the hotfix folder. So far so good with the stock add on folder.
Now to get my black status bar somehow.

Why not just run Javroch's black out theme. it's freakin sweet. Or if not, just a regular black notification bar.

I tried preview 3 and did not care for it. The 3G and wifi icons look a bit weird too.
The regular black notification bar you pointed to is what I want. Its not supported though for this release of Fission.
I may go back to ApeX. There are a few things with this ROM (including battery life) that I'm not happy with. Shame but I think overall ApeX ran better for me. Go Fab!
