Root Fixed bobZ gps!!!!

Yes I tried it with WiFi and had no luck but I went to fix my call volume in the build.prop and usaw something about A-GPS and i remembered that I flashed the A-GPS fix a while back (ddidn't work obviously ha) but would that have an effect on my Gps working? Should I delete those lines in the build prop? Sorry if all my suggestions are dumb I don't know much about how gps works on this phone.

I would definitely try. Don't worry the only dumb question is one not asked if you don't know. Its how we all learn.. :)

Thanks for understanding :). Another question though, is this in your build prop

#system prop for switching gps driver to qmi
persist.gps.qmienabled=true

Yeah its in there. Have you flashed any of the ports available? Johnnys paranoid port fixes a lot of issues with cm10. Its also to me the most eye appealing of any of the ports. If you don't want to flash the port try factory resetting and all that jazz.

Does everything work on that port? I think I remembered seeing that either mms or sms or 4g or something else that's critical wasn't working on it?

Nah it's probably the most complete port I've tested. It still has the old system ui apk with the incorrect data showing, but you can fix that. You can fix the in call volume too. It fixes the back light issue, it fixes the data widget on the notification panel, and maybe some other stuff I just can't think of right now. Lol

Nice I'll try to flash it tonight and Btw im sorry for asking so many questions but what exactly do I flash because there's an avatar zip a pac man zip and a paranoid zip? Do I only flash the paranoid? And also how would I go about fixing the system ui? And is the fix for call volume the same as stated above? Also since it's stated that it's not a complete room do I still have to backup everything as if it were a full rom?

Can't find Johnny's paranoid port. Is it called something else in the forum? Did a search too. Anyone got a link to the thread?

Just flash the paranoid zip it's a themed system port that sits on top of cm10. Follow his instructions always always do a backup. Edit build prop just the same as mentioned above. There's a system ui apk link in the bobZ thread you can look for it there..

In the paranoid thread it says that calls don't work, is it confirmed that this has been fixed. I just like to take extra precautions when flashing anything because it always takes me a long time to restore everything from backups and i always forget to do something so it takes even longer lol.

I think that's describing one of his other ports. It works for me but any questions about that I'd ask him on that thread..

holy crud!!!!! i can confirm that front facing video does work on bobz 4-22 with 4.3 camera from lte2 rom. i flashed 4-22 rom and the 4gfix.zip and lightsfix.zip and used 5-21 buildprop. i don't have service so i can't test anything else. just because camera works with that camera app doesn't mean it will with the video chat apps but at least we are on the right track here.

edit:
actually it works on the regular cm camera app now also, so maybe it will work with video chat apps.
edit: 1080p was still purple though :(

Ok so we have lightfix, gps fix, 4g fix, camera fix, what else on the 4/22 build wasn't working?? Let me know and I'll test everything. I need the all the fix zip links from you though except gps i of course have that and the camera app I'll also need the untouched build prop.

flashed the 6.0.2.7 recovery and did an advanced restore of /data. now i'm all kinds of hooked up. gonna try my baseless paranoid on it next.;)

i had regular 1080p on one of pg's builds but can't remember which one. i think it was his first one

Ok I'll download it.. Let me know how you little project is going. Im waiting for the gapps to finish downloading. I want to test out PG's build before I go through all that flashing. By all kinds of hooked up now what do you have?

Flashed all your packages. Lol same conclusion 1080p still purple, front video works and that was with the original camera too. It's something else written into the system. It just can't find our where. It took me about two weeks to figure out the gps. Ill have to really look deep for this though I feel. We need to see what the differences pertaining to video and camera are among all builds that have some, all, and or none of the camera problems.

when i flashed paranoid over aokp everything started crashing like crazy. only things i can think of that don't work on my phone now is 1080p video and vibration on incoming calls. 4-22 with all the fixes and paranoid romless. i sent you a pm swainsmith82
