Help Fixing Evo's broken mike thanks to Gingerbread, know when new system is coming?

Does anyone know when the new OS will come out? I've gotten so fed up w/ what Gingerbread has done to my Evo's Google app's microphone that I'm actually ready to dump my phone since my upgrade anniversary date just rolled around.

Just curious if anyone knows if/when the fix is coming...

I think this is much more of an "if" than a "when". You're better off waiting for the exploit and then rooting the phone. At that point, you can go back to Froyo, or use any one of the ROMS out there that would likely solve your issue.

yeah i doubt that we will ever see ice cream sandwich (what a ridiculous name for an update.lol) on our evo. so most likely once we gain root fro gingerbread then you can try the much better roms that are out there. and most likely a dev will be able to port it as well.
