well i flashed the rom in recovery, but i didnt know how to get out... Tried rebooting a lot and mounting data... No luck.. Restored my nandroid... But really want arhd on my phone ; any help and sorry... For the excessive ellipses

How to flash: (Don't use ROM Manager! Flash ROM following the steps below:)
  • Download ROM and place it on your SD card
  • Download "Super Wipe" script & place it on your SD card (optionally if coming from earlier version of my ROM, obligatory if coming from stock or other custom ROM)
  • Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + power)
  • In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"
  • Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of "Super Wipe" script
  • Once again select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of Android Revolution ROM
  • After flashing process is complete, reboot the device

What did you do in clockwork, can you be a little more specific please?

Here's the ARHD Process taken from the XDA thread:

  • Download ROM and place it on your SD card
  • Download "Super Wipe" script & place it on your SD card (optionally if coming from earlier version of my ROM, obligatory if coming from stock or other custom ROM)
  • Boot your phone in recovery mode (vol down + power)
  • In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard"
  • Select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of "Super Wipe" script
  • Once again select "choose zip from sdcard" and browse to the location of Android Revolution ROM
  • After flashing process is complete, reboot the device

Which bit did you get stuck on?

The rom flashed successfully, but i couldn't get out of recovery... Could this be due to me enabling fast boot still.

Just flashed this little chappy and its pretty sweet. Also flashed the recommended radio which seem to go a bit to well. Anyone know how i would check that the proper radio is on the phone.
Cheeers

Head to Settings -> About Phone -> Software Info.

Your current radio should be the Baseband Info. The first part doesn't really matter, it's the last 8 numbers that are important.

My current radio is 12.62.60.72U_26.13.04.19_M (there is a newer one)

The first part might differ, but the bit I've made bold is the important bit. If you've flashed the recommended radio for ARHD, yours will be slightly different to that (26.14.xx.xx I think).

Does that make sense chief? :)

Must have done it correctly:D

Only slightly irratating thing i have found do far is the HTC weather widget that shows the clock on my first homescreen. Cant find away to default it to my location (Edinburgh) just shows me as being in the UK.

My mate had that on his Sensation, showing UK instead of Inverness. He sorted it by installing GPS Status, letting that calibrate his GPS, and he was fine.

Unlikely, as fastboot is disabled in ARHD by default.

What was actually happening?

I was stuck in recovery... it said that I was on ARHD ... but i tried power off and reboot , and i was still stuck in recovery. There were options to flash zip files and mount data , but i didnt know what to do ...

fast boot was still on ( i believe ) and i hadnt flashed any themes or radios

Looks like it may have something to do with me not having any files associated with my location widget, once it prompted me to download the 36 MB file all seems good.

Yeah, I've seen that before, it sort of hangs at the screen telling you the flash has been successful? Leave it a minute or so and that should clear.

Excellent

Excellenté.

So I'm good to go and try that again? After flashing the rom I just reboot and wait, even if it's still in recovery?

Don't reboot immediately, if it's the same thing I'm thinking of, just wait a minute at the successful screen and the clockwork menu should appear and you'll be able to reboot from there.

I havent tried it again yet , but what i was seeing , was the same as when i first entered recovery exept that the rom that was on it was android revolution.

Just a quicky. Take it you don need to fire one of Lordmod's kernels on when your running ARDH.

And an even quicker 1 if Prez is about. Any idea if you can get the CM7 keyboard on to ARDH?

Also , two more things in addition to getting the homescreen of the rom..

1. is backing up my apps with Tb enough ? do i just restore when im in my new rom ?

2. if a do a nandroid of my stock rom.. can i return to it later by restoring the backup.

1. Back up app data and let your phone download the apps from the martket, then restore the data.

2. That's just what a nandroid backup is for - you will return to EXACTLY as the phone was when you did the backup though... I restored a backup that was a month or so old (in error) and ended up loosing quite a few texts that I had received whilst running a different ROM.

(note that this will not be the same as running an RUU - your phone will still be rooted and, should you send it to HTC, they will be able to tell that it's rooted)

You can download Gingerbread keyboard from the market, it should be as good as. Alternatively, take a look at the ICS Keyboard.

You can also use his Sense kernel, but LorDmod UE is just for AOSP ROMs.

Got the ICS Keyboard chief, looks and works pretty much the same as the CM7 one.
Cheers

When you have a minute could you fire up a link for Lordmods Sense kernel, had a wee look around but not sure which one it is.

Here you go: xda-developers - View Single Post - [DEC18]DeSenseNG 4.6.1|LorDmodNCTeam Kernel 5.0|SuperCharged|UltraSmooth|Sense3|2.3.5

Version 5 is the most recent. You might want to try the LeeDroid kernel though? That's regarded (or was) as one of the best Sense based kernels about.

I quite like the ICS keyboard too :)
