Root Flash from MetroPCS back to Sprint

Hi,

Complete Newbie here with Droid phones/rooting/ETC... Is it possible to FLASH from MertoPCS to Sprint Network?

I have an HTC EVO I purchased from Craigslist, it has been rooted and Flashed at some point to work on the MetroPCS network.

I spoke with Sprint PCS again this afternoon and they told me that if I can flash it back to an original HTC EVO ROM I should be "OK". I don't see how that would change the PRL and remove the old MetroPCS information though?

Yes, you certainly can flash an Evo from Metro back to Sprint, here's what I found on it:

Thanks again for your help, I was able to perform these steps last night and flashed the PRL back to Sprint. I now have Text and Call capabilities. Next, I will be researching getting Sprint Data back online.

I was able to Do a factory Data reset and enter my MSL. Rebooted, and then was able to update the phone hands free.

In the last 6 days I have:

1. Freaked out
2. Self Accelerated FLASH ROM 101
3. thought I made a brick
4. S*** a brick
5. gave up
6. gave it another try
7. succeeded with help of this forum and XDA forums

So the question is... Do I enjoy my phone? or... explore the wonderful freedom of a rooted phone

ocnbrze, what would you do in my shoes? Have any good ROMs you could recommend?

I'm not Ocn, but I would recommend the latest MikG.

Stable fast and it has "extras".

I too am not Ocn BUT would recommend giving them all a try! Only you know what you like/dislike and won't know what you truly like/dislike on your Evo until you try. Just be sure you make a nandroid backup before you flash and get your flash on!

Use the rom and kernel sticky thread here and you cant go wrong. Just make shure any roms you flash are for the evo and read the rooting guide. Also learn how to make nandroid backups they will be you best friend when something goes wrong.

I actually am on MikG now. That was the last rom I flashed (read it was based off of the original HTC EVO sprint ROM) before I did the Crazy PRL flash procedure.

Flashed the Nocturnal Rom and I am loving it! Tethered my XBOX last night with good signal/hotspot and it rocks!
