Root flash kernel soon after reflash rom

I may have seen this before but I can't find it. If I just reflashed a rom (it's not new to my phone), can I go ahead a flash a kernel without waiting for the rom to settle in?

i always flash the kernel in a separate recovery session. so i flash the rom, sign in, get everything setup, then i flash the kernel. it just helps to troubleshoot if something goes wrong then you will know if it is a rom issue or a kernel issue.

Thanks guys. I flashed the kernel in a separate recovery, just could not remember if I needed to let the ROM cook for a day if I had it on my phone before.

BTW. Not sure if you remember me but I lost my Mikg boot animation a week or so ago and you guys told me to reflash the ROM (Mikg 2.61) after wiping cache and dalvik cache. I did this morning and I still have the boot animation that is just the animated word "Android", not the full flashing Mikg boot animation. Kind of weird. Again, I have no other issues, just a plainer boot animation. Not necessarily bad, just unexpected. Maybe 2.61 always just had that boot animation and I did not notice. I did not download a new rom, just used the one I flashed before.

I almost always flash everything in the same recovery session. When I flash an aosp rom, I have flashed the rom, gapps, kernel, custom font, gps fix, vipermod undervolt script and darktremor's a2sd script all in the same recovery session. It always seems to work out fine. I use Amon RA 2.3 so I can't say whether or not that is a good idea with other recoveries.
