Root flash new rom with partitioned card

It's been awhile since I flashed a new ROM. Been on Synergy RC1 with a partitioned SD card. Want to flash MikG 3.0. Do I need to wipe the SD partition and start over with all my apps or just leave it alone?

Wipe it. As far as I know the rom won't recognize old apps on the partition.

Backup apps with titanium backup then go to recovery wipe everything but SDCARD
