Help flash player for ascend

I was trying to view a video in my browser, and got the "you must have flash payer installed" message instead. I installed flash player, tried again, and could watch the video. I rarely watch videos, in fact, that was the last time I did I think, so I couldn't tell you how it normally behaves. I'll try to watch some more sometime, but the only thing different I did to watch the video was to install Adobe flash player 10.1, so I've been assuming it works on my Ascend.

nope, wasnt flash you were seeing.
 
<shrug> Ionno, it didn't work before, then did after. I believe it was the stock browser when I did it. I've gone to CM7 since then, and redid my entire app collection for the most part (based on everyone's opinions here about them. You all rock, btw.) I'll never go back to 2.1, so I guess I'll never know what caused it to play.
I'm not too familiar with flash and the like. Is it possible that my browser mistook some other type of vid as flash, and then, after I rebooted and restarted, read it right?

yes, but also if you have root explorer or androotfile you can move/copy the stock browser to sdcard and install the browser.apk after you flash cm6/7.
 
lol I'm not THAT interested in what happened for sure. I'll take the words of you folks that is wasn't Adobe letting me play some vid. I like Opera just fine. :)
 
I think then, if the Ascend's inability to run Flash is hardware-related, there's no point in waiting for a 2.2 update that isn't going to come anyway. Just flash CM7 or Icarus and call it good. :p
 
I will say this as clearly as I can The Huawei Ascend CANNOT PLAY FLASH regardless of what software is on it.
