Help Flash problem?

I've noticed that when in on camera, the flash is a millisecond fast and causes the picture to be almost black. Even darker than if I wasn't using flash. Known problem or refurbish worthy?

I've not read about anyone having your particular problem. Nor have I ever experienced it either. You might check your camera settings. Iso on auto etc. You can brighten your pictures as well. I took a quick look at my settings and they are either auto or middle of the road... I've never tried adjusting so I'm sure they are factory set. If you don't see something out of line... I'd say you are ready for a refurb.

I haven't heard of the quick flash thing either.
