Root Flashable build.prop-Optimus V

Two different zip files here, the first will enable hardware acceleration, to make your scrolling & other graphic effects smoother, the second will enable hardware acceleration & stagefright, enabling stagefright is a catch 22, it will enable winamp & npr radio, but may cause problems with playing certain formats. Enabling stagefright may also boost your quadrant scores quite a bit, but it's a false boost, it doesn't make anything faster, it causes quadrant to skip the h264 test.

To use, just download the one you want, put it on the root of your sd card, and apply zip from custom recovery.

Download hardware acceleration here.

Download hardware/stagefright here.

Oh, by the way, the sprint recovery works on the v, with only 1 button being mapped incorrectly.

Would you be kind enough to provide installation instructions for those of us new to Android rooting and mods? Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by enabling winamp? Are you referring to shoutcast streaming not working? I noticed that when I try to stream a shoutcast station it does the same thing as the Intercept, not connect.

As for the problems with certain formats, which ones? Just h.264 or does it jack up .mp3 and others? I haven't really looked into which formats the Optimus V even supports yet as I just got it yesterday.
