I found this over on the xda forums, I noticed a big difference, may just be me. Flash at your own risk and let me know if you notice anything.

Also, make a back up before flashing, this zip makes battery drain faster than normal for some reason.

To be truly I honest Im not sure. I Tried this out and it sounds wicked with skull candy buds, but battery drain increased with this add on.
from what i read (may be incorrect) but there is something that beats uses built into the kernel for the phone it was designed for.. so without that we wont experience the full difference of having the beats app... or whatever it is lol, but like i said it could be complete bull too so dun let me shoot ya down lol jus saying :D

i use this app called 'power amp' it's like 2-3 $ on market and has an awesome equalizer and sound boost options, very customizable and takes less than half of what the stock music player uses for battery life..

i used to use volume+ but i think power amp is the sheeeeet!!! lol im pretty sure one would over-ride the other for volume boost so both might not be neccessary (power amp is better lol) :D lol

Beats is the same thing as DSP, a few more presets by what I am told.

Yep, and crappy ones at that. Turns the treble down and jacks the bass all the way up to cater to the fools who think more bass = better sound. Beats audio is absolute junk. They're made by the same company that makes that over priced Monster Cable. Why do you think they do not list the frequency response for those headphones? Because the frequency response is nothing special and you're getting ripped off.

I agree! Good audio is a sweet mixture of hi's & lo's. Like the air to fuel ratio in a ferarri :D
