Flashed CyanogenMod 7.1.0 Droid

So my friend gave me a spare Droid original and I rooted it and flashed CyanogenMod 7.1.0 Droid but I don't have access to any google services and can't use playstore, email, etc. Is there a way to access/download/setup google services so I can access these or do I have to do a recover to my original gingerbread state and get it from there? If I have to recover, how do I carry over the google accounts and settings?

Welcome to AF. The OG Droid is what first brought me to this forum :)

When you flashed CM 7.1.0 did you sign in to google when it started back up? If not sign in and reboot.
 
I never got that option. There's no trace of google. I can make an account but it's an exchange account and it doesn't help.
 
Ok, you need to download the google apps that are associated with CyanogenMod 7.1.0 Droid and flash them with rom manager. I will try and locate them but you might have better luck going to the thread where you download the rom and see if there is a link for the apps.

This looks like the most current apps for cm7. go to the site and follow the directions for the full apps. This is the one you want gapps-gb-full-20110815-signed.zip. Once you flash them if there are updates it will automatically update when you sign in.

You can download the gapps here for cm7:
Goo.im Downloads - Browsing gapps
Download the gapps for you version of Cyanogenmod witch would be Cyanogenmod 7.1-2.x
Then all you have to do is flash the zip you just downloaded the same way you flashed Cyanogenmod. Just don't wipe anything other than dalvic-cache, and cache. Then reboot and enjoy.
