Root Flashed CyanogenMod, Did A Reboot, Everything Disappeared.

Ok...so I am now trying CyanogeMod and so far I am really impressed.
The lines travelling throughout my screen is so awesome I doubt I'll be using any of my cus*****y wallpapers. (Yes, I love all flashy pimp out stuff)
The flash went smoothly...I formatted just about everything but the SD card, did a superwipe, and flashed CM 7.
I didn't do a nandroid because I didn't like SOS X and doubt I'd ever give it another chance. I am not sure what "all" nandroids backup but I didn't want anything from those settings so I didn't bother.

Anyway, all went well. I noticed there was no ap2sd section in Titanium Backup which told me that DT wasn't cooked into the ROM so I flashed the app2sd zip file RXpert83 had given me before when I had the same issue with SOS X.
Rebooted, et voila! I have ap2sd and the world of Android was a better place.
I proceeded to restore my circle launcher and had to "reattach" a couple of apps that had seemed to have lost their links or something.
Took a good 45 mins customizing them and adding the right color combinations to the circles etc.
Then G+ was acting a bit weird...kept telling me my comment couldn't be posted...I had to try 2-3 times on numerous occasions for my posts to go through so I decided to reboot my phone.
When phone rebooted, EVERY single one of my apps I had restore with TB was GONE :eek:
Vanished...disappeared...and all that was left of the circle launcher was a "problem loading widget" sign.
Then the sickening feeling that I had just spent all that time customizing these widgets and didn't backup not one single one of them crept up slowly. I mean i clicked save but for some reason that didn't work before...it looks like I have to go into the widget and perform a backup.
So rather than slamming my phone against a wall I decided to reboot the phone again...after all this is what caused this havoc right?
I can just reboot and everything can be back to normal right?
Well it didn't
I mean yes my apps were back...every single one were back.
But circle launcher widgets and all the settings...negativo :bawling:
So now when I am done with work I will take yet another 45mins-1hr and redo my circle widgets...and pray to the Android Gods that this doesn't happen again...

Anyone else had this experience?
I can hear argedion saying "what did I tell you about that wall of stupid!"

I'm not sure why it censored that. The part it censored... isn't any bad word I'm aware of

I'll look into the widget issue

EDIT:

Also, if you find you are a fan of AOSP ROMS-- Decks Reloaded is currently the reigning king there :p. I wish we had a ROM like it for the LTEVO

Go to terminal emulator and type

su
a2sd repair

Let it run

a2sd reinstall

Done

The widget isn't from a Sense ROM is it? Sense Widgets wont work with AOSP ROMS but generally they wont work at all so I guess I'll shut up now and point to Mizzou's Post and go YEAH WHAT HE SAID :D:p

And why am I doing this?
I already have ap2sd working when I flashed that file Xpert gave me in another thread...
Or is this for my circle launcher to get "fixed"?

The widget is from the market... So I really don't know

Err ok so half way using Swype beta while typing this post the keyboard stop responding... First time this has happened... I hope this is not ROM related!

The instructions brent gave you will repair most issues with Ext which it was it sounds like your having. Give it a try to fix any SD-ext issues with dt a2SD and then boot into recovery and run a permissions fix.

Sorry my post was so short, I was on my phone and just checking the forum real quick.

Sometimes, the symlinks between your /data partition and your /sdext partition can get messed up on a reboot. This happens to me quite a bit on the dta2sd beta 04 script, which I assume is the one you flashed. Running that command from terminal emulator will fix it.

Awesome! Will try it in a bit then.
I'd like to know what/why I am doing things...only way I'll learn.
If I have no comprehension of what I am doing then I can't help anyone else in future threads...not to mention I'll be asking about similar stuff all the time :D
