Root Flashed Rom, can't sync to google or use the market *FIXED*

i was re flashing my mikg v3.11 rom and it wont let me sign into google now.

using a evo 4g on metro (not activated)
gingerbread 2.3.5

i was trying to flash the MetrogenMod 7.1 at first had a problem with google mail, then re flashed it back to mikg v3.11 rom

any tips?
 
Are you on WiFi?

You need a data connection to sign into google


Do you have a nandroid you can restore?
 
no i dont have a nandroid back up, im gonna flash metrogenmod 7 gapps and see if that helps.

*EDIT* nah that didn't work, (flashed MetrogenMod 4, and flashed gapps) it said something about my phone may not be provisioned right. but im on wifi hmm
 
ok i found my nandroid back up but when i try to restore i get the msg error while restoring sdcard/android/.secure

but it still wont let me sign in for my contacts to sync on google, nor for the market

Get a fresh download of MikG v3.11, make sure you wipe everything except sd card. I usually wipe 3x, then flash.
Then I let rom/phone sit for 10 minutes before playing with it.
What recovery are you using?
I recommend Amon Ra, or the Smelkus mod recovery....:)
 
yea im using amon ra on rom manager ok i will try that :) what all do i need to wipe in amon ra recovery and in what order

do not use rom manager. do everything in recovery. i would wipe everything except for the sd card. there is no particular order of wiping. just make sure not to wipe your sd card.

please read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html and skip the rooting process and go to the after root section. it has tons of info on things like how to make a nandroid backup as well as how to flash a rom.
 
one last thing you guys im sure this is the problem, the phone isn't activated but im using another phone that has the same number as the evo cause i wanted to switch numbers and the esn and meid on the phone,(donor flashed) could that be the problem too

i do not think that is the issue, but i could be wrong. what happens when you try and sign in? do you get an error?
 
yea its is says

this could be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services.

i cant get into google play, google calender or youtube app but i can sign in online on youtube

Just throwing this out there, what about, in recovery, fix uid mismatches? (fix permissions?):confused:
 
the id mismatches went all the way throu

i was rooted and on mikg and had backup but it was before i switch my meid numbers, they read kind of backwards on this phone now. something tells me that could be it.

im gonna see if i can switch those numbers back
 
ooommmgg!!!! YUP THAT WAS IT ^.^

the meid numbers were wrong on my phone i had to make sure they where in the right order cause i got confused on the donor flash guide but yup it works now, if anyone needs this go ahead and try it.:D
