Root flashing a cricket prl?

my friend got this phone and he has cricket, i know it sounds odd but he wants me to flash this phone to cricket. now the phone is rooted, and i did put on Shabbymod Rom.

the drivers are on my computer and my computer recognises the device. my problem is that CDMA workshop doesnt recognise the phone. what should i do to get cdma workshop to recognise the phone? it sees the portCOM that the device is on, successfully connects to it, but it wont read it in DM mode. DM mode fails. i should be able to get the spc without any problem. but my problem is getting it into dm mode.

I am pretty sure cricket is one of few that have open esn.
They dont care were the esn is from they can add it to there database manually.

Well that's the whole purpose of using CDMA workshop, to switch the good #'s from the cricket phone to the prevail. I don't see why this would be hard since many HTC EVO's have been flashed from sprint to cricket.

yes cricket has an open network for any cdma phone, as long as the prl is set to cricket.

i can use cdma workshop and know how to run it ok. just that i cant figure out how to get this phone into diagnostic mode and turn it to modem mode so i can swap the prl to cricket.
