i am trying to get google earth on my htc evo. I have down loaded the google earth.v1.2.2 apk file to my pc. draged&droped it to the root of my sd card. its now in astro file mamager. but when i boot into recorvery and try to flash it , its not there...... please help.

have you tried downloading it from the market and installing it?

apk files are not flashable zips. You should be able to long press them in astro and install them but I am not positive about that. Most of the ones I have installed are from the market.

If it is in astro file then you can just press on it and it should install the apk file. Most apk files can be installed this way.

Funny . thats all I had to do. sure enough when I click on the app in astro a new page with an install button popped up. I feel stupid
