Root Flashing a rom will remove carrier flash?

I have an Htc Evo 4g flashed to MetroPCS and the person who flashed it put the metrodroid rom. Because it is a METROdroid rom if i flash another rom will i still have text internet and calling? or will i lose internet because someone told me if i flash a rom on a flashed phone you lose internet
 
Your going to have much more success over in the all things root section.

Hopefully a guide can move you there relatively quickly.
 
I am flashed to metro and believe me you can flash any Rom and text, call, and web will work. It's only the mms that are affected. Theres metrogen mod that is a CM7 rom with mms working with no fix and There is an easy fix for any sense 2.1-3.0 (MikG roms), sense 3.0, and sense 3.5 Roms. I am running radiance (sense 3.5) and everything works perfectly. I can help you with anything you need when it comes to metro flashed evo :D

So i can litteraly just flash the rom and do nothing else
