FlashLight that uses Camera Flash

Good questions. I'm sure we will be getting more information on battery usage soon. I would not expect any damage to the LEDs, but can not guarantee.

I'm charging mine now...I'll kick off a battery drainage test around 2pm EST. FWIW, I've only had 5 or so recharges since purchace last saturday. I work from home, play on in constanly with screen brightness on "0" since day one, and I get about 8-9 hours of use. I just installed Quick Settings which allows me to turn down srceen brightness a few ticks lower than native "0"...its about the level of the "lock screen".

All that to say that I don't think my battery is at full potential.

Bugs and Requests:

1. When the orientation of the program changes, the LED flashes off for a second. (FIXED AS OF Nov, 19 in v1.1)

Requests:

1. LED is not maximum strength, is there a way you could implement an adjustable scale of how much light the LED emits?

2. Maybe somebody could write a widget, so we could just hit a button on the home screen to turn the light on and off, instead of running the actual app. all the time.

Will work on both of these in the coming days.

Chet, if it helps, the guy that did the Quick Settings app (free, Market), has a sliding screen brightness scale, which allows a broader range of adjustment than stock. Maybe there's some helpful code in there?

Works great and i hope this below is a good additional donation.

Battery Drain Test started.

- Phone just off the charger at 100%.
- Screen timeout set for 2 min.
- If screen doesn't time out for on/off button, Quick Settings screen brightness set to -10% (it dims lower than native 0 dimmer level to that of "lock screen").

First paid app here too! This is the first smartphone that I've had that I've gotten into the whole app thing with. I won't have to pay for the updates will I? How do I update it when they are available? Thanks! Great app again!

Just go back to market and select the app, it will say update available and allow you to download, no additional charge.

My understanding is that updates are free. Should be able to get verification from the folks that had v1.0.

Cool, thanks. I figured i wouldn't have to pay, just wasn't sure how the updating thing worked with android. That's simple enough. Thanks again.
