I don't have any specific recommendation, but in my experience with those things, the only ones that don't suck are the ones that plug inline with the antenna cable.
I used this one in my car with no problems. My car is a maxima and the antenna is built into the back window somehow. There is no visible antenna and a lot of people complain about reception with transmitters. I have recently soldered in an aux to the factory bose headunit, so I gave my wife this fm transmitter. She has been using it and also said it works perfectly. We have had a few not-so-good ones so I can say this is the best of the kind that don't plug into the antenna.
Are you talking about a transmitter that you tune your car radio to an unused frequency and the device hooks into you head phones jack. I have a simple one I got at walmart. It works OK but its fuzzy. In my frustration I replaced my radio so I could get USB and aux jack much better sound.
