WTF im cursed with bad bolts!

You're not cursed, you're just unrealistic with your expectations of the phone and giving yourself and your local Verizon store a headache. The "light leek" is common. The "particle", have you taken a picture to see if it looks like you're taking pictures of broccoli? If not then "C'MON MAN!"

If you were with Sprint, a few years ago they would've "fired" you from their service. If I'm a Thunderbolt owner with a TRULY defective phone that hopes to get a brand new replacement and not an open box/refurb then I would really hate you right now.

Any thunderbolt you own will have this issue whether it's from the factory or in a year. I had to clean my incredible lens every two months (on the inside) because the dust would gather up. The lens is not 100% sealed, it's healed together with a little bit of glue which allows dust to gather inside...

I would live with the issue because it's minor and doesn't affect pictures that much.

Very well said !

I have the same particle in my camera. There is no good reason why it should be there. This is not a cheap phone. What bothers me most is Verizon’s new replacement policy will start charging you for if they warranty your phone with dirt under the lens. I am going to Verizon tomorrow to ask for a new one.

white will with the shadow / cloud im guessing its from the camera trying to adjust focus from the particle

So you want a camera phone that will take perfect pictures of white walls? Try taking a picture of something that you'd take a picture of, like someone's face, a location, not a white wall. You're not going to get an idea if the particle is affecting camera quality if you're not going to take a picture of something with some significance.

Like I said though, you returning your phone 3-4-5-6-7 times for these little issues, all you're doing is adding to the supply of refurb/open-box phones out there. So when someone actually returns the phone for a legit problem, they're going to get your rejected phone, not a NEW phone.

Please do me and every Thunderbolt owner a favor and buy a different phone. I don't want Verizon to have a large supply of refurbed, opened phones courtesy of your anal pickiness. Oh and do me a favor and don't look at your phone's screen at a 160 degree angle or you'll notice that the glass isn't smooth because if you notice that, I suspect another 10-20 refurb phone made available.

I do have a pretty noticeable speck in my camera lens, but when I take a picture I dont see it, and some days its not even in the lens, so its movable if you shake your phone.

Although I just learned if you have the mobile hotspot turned on, you cant use flash on your camera, weird!

Anyways, quit your cryin'. Good Day!

Agree I can't even see anything in your pics.

I think you are just being picky here, I mean how often are you going to be taking picture of white walls? Commo now. enjoy your phone for what it is going to do not taking pictures of white walls.

WHile I think its a valid question to ask him to take a picture of "something"....I can see his point with the white wall test.
I'd probably return it too...

The camera is a function of the "device" that he purchased. It should work perfectly. That's like buying a phone and telling him its OK it might drop calls every now and then..just deal with it..... oh wait a second...

If I paid $250 for a phone I would expect perfection too. I had huge light leakage from my TBs screen and I didn't complain but I can see why someone can have an issue with poor quality.
