Damn, you guys are pretty brutal on a guy around here.
I admit when I hear about people returning phones 5, 6, 7 or more times I think to myself, "picky much"??? But then again these devices aren't cheap. Yes when you purchase the Thunderbolt it's a phone first, but the camera should also work just like the GPS should work, the wifi should work, the HDMI out should.... oh wait, nevermind.
Should he spend $250 bucks on a device, and then for the next two years have to put up with subpar photo's? I wouldn't put up with that. The light leakage issue is a little less obvious to me. I guess I'd have to see it in person to really understand how annoying it is. Doesn't look like that big of an issue to me, but I guess that's easy for me to say since I don't have that problem.
Bottom line though is that customer satisfaction should always be a priority of any OEM. If HTC is shipping out phones with glaring quality issues, it shouldn't be up to the customer to just live with it. Lately I've heard more and more complaints about HTC devices and quality issues. They are wanting to open up their own stores much like Apple does. So I'd say they have some work to do in their QC department if they want to make that dream a reality.
I love HTC designs btw, so I'm not slamming them at all. It's just, when you get a lot of consumers complaining about quality issues like HTC seems to be getting here lately, it's up to them to turn things around. Take Toyota for instance. For the past few decades they've built their reputation up on the quality and reliability of their vehicles. Then over the past couple of years they've been torn down by a lack of both of those aspects in their cars. That kind of thing can kill a company. They have to turn that around and do better, period.
I'd love to get my hands on the EVO 3D, but I'm not on Sprint. I'm rooting for HTC to fix these minor errors and run a tighter ship. I realize that most of you here probably don't have any complaints about your device. But that does very little for those who have recieved a dud T-Bolt.

thats not the light leakage i was referring to, that picture thats posted is a problem with every bolt, the light leak i was referring to is between the screen (glass part) and the bottom filler piece of the device, the gray part between the glass and the outer bezel of the phone. Some people actually have the gray filler piece curling up at the outer edges.
