Root fone acting funky

phone has been acting up lately. for instance reloading htc sense every time i hit home. tried the thread in the t/s section but to no avail. runnin r2r rainy day rom. it's been laggy and just not happy in general. nothing major changed lately. it was acting a little funky till i installed fruit ninja, then it started acting major funky so i uninstalled and problems are still there. not sure what's going on, but starting to consider an iphone, so ya this problem needs to get fixed now before i am seduced by the dark side.

wipe cache and dalvic.
 
Have you tried to wipe everything and reflash the rom?
What recovery are you running?

That rom is a little dated. There are a few more recent roms that you may like. The mikG series are always top notch, and they are fast. The Xplod rom has been getting a lot of good reviews. I move around quite a bit, but I've been comming back to the Supersonic 3D rom. It's pretty solid IMO.

I would try out a few roms before you throw in the towel. Those symptoms usually can be fixed with proper wiping and flashing the rom over, or switching roms. :)
 
i may try reflashing, i really like this rom. it was pretty zippy when i first installed it. i don't know bout supersonic, and aren't mic's roms ics?

i really like sense based roms, preferably sense 3.0+, themed or true. overclocked. and that can do hdmi mirroring with netflix. other than those things anything else would be customized with titanium backup anyways.
 
MikG is based on Sense 2.1 with a lot of Sense 3.0 stuff added in. It's very very fast, and he has added in a boatload of system tweaks that are pretty awesome. If you flash the most recent Freedom or Chop Suey, everything should work just fine. I would highly recommend it.

The Launcher redraws are a memory issue. Your phone is running out of memory and it's booting the launcher out of the currently running processes, so hitting home is essentially like doing a total restart of the launcher. I see it occasionally on my phone, but not very often. It happened a LOT to me when I briefly had an unrooted phone over the summer.

Supersonic3D is based on Gingerbread, Sense 3.5 with a bunch of tweaks as seen in the mikG roms. :)

I liked the look of the Rainy Day rom, but I didn't stay on it long.

If you really like the rom, just wipe everything clean, then reflash and start from scratch. It will be just like new. ;)

Yup, RC1.2. Newt and aamikam moved to a new base, which is in beta. I don't like to recommend betas to new root users because they always have bugs. ;) That Rom is going to be suck when its done. Mikrunny beta.
