You can just select a HTC_IME keyboard instead of stock android one - it's right there in keyboard settings, under Input Method I think.

Or just long press on any text entry field and the 'select input method' dialog will open.

It's got different colors than the one in stock Sense, but it's the Sense keyboard alright.

You can download one with a less horiffic colour scheme from here (the one you want is the android 1.5 lowres one).

Erm, I think so. I haven't used HTC_IME in ages, so maybe I'm getting them mixed up.

I don't see why it wouldn't work though.
