We've already discussed that in this photo, the Epic looks more dull because it is a screenshot of the browser. The browser has its own brightness setting that most people don't know about. It's lower by default to save battery on white pixels. Believe me, the Epic can display some very bright whites. You just gotta turn up the browser brightness setting. That's correct. SAMOLED has superior black levels but it's white level (i.e. brightness) is lower then a good lcd like the EVO's. The black levels are what give the EPIC the thru the roof contrast ratio and this combined with the over saturated colors really make the screen pop. The colors aren't terribly accurate but I'm not an graphic designer/artist so I personally prefer the over-saturated colors.
Keep in mind that the more white you display on a SAMOLED, the more battery you will lose. Black is the best for the Epic, as a black pixels means it's not lit up at all (true black).
