try it out again sometime I don't know how it was back then but I like it not that I don't like sense I love it but I wanted something new so I'm glad I got that launcher the only thing I don't like so far about it is I can't use the htc widgets

On Froyo I used Go almost exclusivly. I picked up SPB Shell when I upgraded to GB and stuck with it until ICS. Have been using Nova for a while now because it is based on the ICS launcher which is more functional for me than SPB. Now I am looking forward to TSF I plan to pick that up on the release date to test it out it looks amazing.
 
i love it i have scroable dock, auto rotate, and much more that the stock launcher should have but just didnt put into this build and that is a sad thing
 
I like nova's backup restore feature for roms personally. It is built by TeslaCoil they also made widget locker. I wish more rom devs would include it over Apex.

and i do to love the backup cuz i am a crackflasher and i need a faster way to set up it
 
BBK have you tried the no softkey mod? It is great nice to be able to use full screen on the phone but takes a little getting used to.
 
no not yet... i havent been on AOKP for a few weeks now i have been running stock(ish) 4.0.4... but i wanna get on build 25 tonight ish to try it out i know it looks sexy ... how was it to set it up hard at all?

It is easy to set up. They have zip files for almost every rom now. I don't like flashing things when I can use root explorer to do it ;) you can either flash the zip in recovery or just extract the framework-res.apk from the zip and copy/paste it in /system/framework then the phone reboots and you are done.

There is also an app you will want to install to allow you to access the softkey functions but it is linked in the OP of the thread for the mod. I really like it and expect it to become standard over time.

Yeah I don't mind spending a bit on apps ;) I was real hesitant at getting SPB at first based on price but took the plunge and never regretted it even when I stopped using it :D
 
Interesting I have thought of rooting my phone from time to time I am thinking of it right now but I think it's a bit risky and I don't want to and don't trust programs on the web for doing so I don't download things I'm unsure of so I'm in a bit of a grey area when it comes to rooting my inspire

once you take that plundge you will never look back and you will fall inlove with your phone all over again
 
yeah I was pretty Impressed by what I've seen people do with there rooted phones I just don't want to mess my PC up beyond belief
 
humm the development community is a safe place i have NEVER had a problem downloading anything from a developer for my phone

I have to second this. I love both those apps.

Being that I have been using CM9 I like nova way better than trebuchet. And apex is meh. If I didn't use nova, I would use that.
 
whats the difference between trebuchet and Nova i have never used the other and don't plan on going to CM9 anytime soon i think they just took to long to get the ball rolling and they came into to a very crowed rom market for the nexus

Trebuchet is the CM9 launcher, it is very much unfinished. I don't have a nexus, so CM9 is pretty much my only ICS option.
