Root Found a possible root method!!!!!!!!!!

As with all things modding, please be careful and do plenty of research before you attempt to root your devices!

Cheers!

Well so far there is no root method for this phone since this didn't work which sucks -.- someone needs to figure out how to root this phone

Yeah, I'm good with no root for now.... I don't see the need at this point. Speed is good battery life is way better than the sgs2.... so I can wait

^ +1

I would say to never go by any root method until it's confirmed for your particular device.

Too risky if you ask me :)

Yea but the root method was risk free anyway and yea I wouldn't know I don't have this phone, I want to move on from my LG marquee to this phone, I always wanted to own an HTC phone hopefully the prices will go down before my birthday ^_^

Only for Boost Mobile

Root has been successful.

Just type "root for htc one sv" in google (sorry can't post links). It should lead you right into XDA.

D/L the recovery on post #220 and su.zip from post #1

follow instructions.

Profit

I've heard of the framaroot but never looked into its method, that's just me though, I prefer to go by a particular devices root method instead of another and hoping for the best.

Had anybody been able to root? I'm stuck. I've unlocked bootloader have adb installed. But when I run cmd to push recovery it get error device not found . Any help is greatly appreciated . Thanks

Go to htcdev site to unlock

Then install adb .. I used YouTube (look for the beginners guide is two weeks old)

Then follow step on xda site

Download the boost recovery file from post 220 on that thread

Put that file in same as fastboot but rename to recovery .img or just delete the test part

I'm rooted. Now roms

lol Yeah please elaborate. Funny that most ppl that need help but found or figured-out the info they once needed tend not to explain how it was done.
Help the rest of this community by explaining how root can be done.
Your input is much needed because root is now possible on this fledgling phone, thnx to the thread on xda. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Cool guy, I see you just did! :)

Yes this could be useful info on helping people get root now we just need some developers to start making custom roms

Heads up: Busybox cannot be installed after rooting Boost Mobile's HTC One SV. Yet...
According to the thread: "Root for HTC One SV" on XDA.
