Help Freaking slow data speed!

What service are you running through? Ask someone you know who has the same provider to run a speed test. If they get drastically better speeds then you know there's something wrong. It could just be bad service in your area.

The kernel and ROM won't have much to do with data speeds. Your best bet is to try tweaking the APN settings again.
 
Are you on hspa or 3g? As stated the rom and kernel have zero to do with tour data speed. If your on att they don't use hspa+42 so your speeds will be ehhh. If your on tmobile you could very well be in an edge area and are on 2g. Or your in a 3g or hspa+21 area only. Again those would make your speeds ehhh. Your data speed are completely carrier and location based related. No rom can make you have lte speeds if you have a non lte phone. Don't work that way.

True, but the N4 does have a working LTE radio and the older .33 radio with the CM 10.1 rom will give you LTE if your in a t mobile lte covered area or in one of the other carriers lte area that use the band 4 lte.;)
 
That's really not the rom doing it. Its carrier and location based. In effect your right the rom unlocks the usability of the band 4 lte radios but if your in a non t mobile lte area it will have zero effect on your data speeds.
