ok..so now I have an account...

i see that you can download without an account. what are the advantages to login and download vs not logging in?

slower speeds (less peers you can connect to) and it has a limit, don't remember if it is per day or what (think it is 5 to 10 DL's per day) but there is definitely a limit for non-members
 
i have logged on.. downloaded 5 movies.. and seeding 5... but my numbers are still at 0.

so what am I doing wrong?

you are referring to your statistics? that show how much you DL and UL plus your ratio? they take a bit to update...

Also don't wanna turn this into a discussion about DL movies illegally so lets try to keep specifics out of this please...
(there are legal uses for torrents)
 
yes.. i was talking about my statistics... and they are at 0.0

I am using Utorrent.. does that matter?

That's the problem. Some sites offer legitimate stuff and some sites are setup just to DL illegal material. Like Hack***; a place to DL cracked iOS applications. This site is the entry point for other sites that host almost nothing but cracked iOS apps. And it is growing, so pretty soon, anyone that jaillbreaks will never need to pay for iOS apps through Apple.

It is up to the individual's integrity and honesty to either pay for the material or go without.

I know of several sites created just to make Android applications available. It is much easier with Android because you do not need root access. On iOS, it is impossible to DL apps unless you are jailbroken.

Screaming at people and telling them that they are breaking the law does no good. People will do what they want to do. I think most people interested in Demonoid codes know why they want them.

My last post likely make even more people hate me and my old school opinions. In case my last post did not drive people over the cliff, I'll add this: why not ban the thread and all discussions about where to get this and that?

This is done on other forums. One popular forum will not allow the mere mention of a rather infamous site for iOS apps and they close any threads about ROMs and emulators.

I'll shut up now.

I have thought about this several times as this is a really old thread. I participated in it before i was staff and afterwards realized that there is nothing really to benefit from leaving this dinosaur thread open.

If anyone objects and would like to discuss it, please PM me or any MOD, or use the Private Chat with Staff section :)
