Is there a way to set or force the apps to write their data or cache to the sd card? I notice that apps (some if not all) still write to internal memory even when the app is on sd. Do i need to root the phone for this?
I got a strange notification the other night.... my phone said I couldn't download an app update from the Market because I didn't have enough internal memory!
Actual phone storage was 131/147mb and I have nearly 200mb free on my A2SD+ partition. Had to clear some app cache to get phone storage down to 120mb and everything updated.
Just wondering why the 200mb in the A2SD+ partition didn't get recognised by the Market as available space? I assume it's because my app cache is still on the phone?
16MB free? Yes you still need to keep internal above that to install as it still reads that /data partition initially as the install location. Once installed, the script then does its business and moves it across.
If you need to get more space on internal memory, I can point you to some solutions.
