Root Freezing apps with titanium?

I'm wanting to freeze my bloatware instead of completely deleting it. I'm wondering what apps and files are safe to freeze and will extend my battery life? Also Verizon forced an update on me today which wouldn't install properly, unfortunately I ended up factory resetting my phone. I'm assuming this is because im rooted? Sorry, I'm a newb when it comes to rooted phones.
 
Most roms are free of bloat already. You can look at an aosp Rom that's free of sense this will help with battery life .
 
Or there are some nice de-bloated stock ROMs out there too that'll get rid of the bloat and you won't have to worry about updates being pushed to your phone.
