freezing on start up

title says it all
i just recently rooted my eris things were working great.
i installed launcher pro, rebooted phone and it appears to be frozen on the skateboard screen (never happened in the past) what can i do?
Were you overclocking (at too high a speed)?
Hopefully, you took a Nandroid backup just after you rooted via your custom recovery or just prior to making such a change.
If you can't boot at all, trying booting into recovery and restoring your most recent Nandroid backup.

Failing what Scarey Alien gave you as a remedy, try this:
1. remove battery then replace
2. hold volume down and power button
3. this time at the HBOOT screen there is an option to enter recovery mode
Be patient.. in many instances those three green trash cans on Groucho's eyebrows (ok, "androids on skateboards"
) remain on the screen for many minutes; just let it sit as it'll likely work through that stage in most cases.
