So there is no pinch zoom on maps? what?
Glad to hear u got it in Dallas. I live in College Station so hopefully ill get it in the morning. Have u experienced any bugs or problems with it so far?
did the keyboard become more responsive?? with the update
Did u have pinch to zoom on Google maps?
I'm not buying it. It seems others have already gotten it and they don't have pinch-to-zoom in Google maps or the voice-to-text on all text fields option either.
The pdf said that one new feature was pinch to zoom in gallery, but my 1.5 can already do that when in the photo gallery. I click on a picture and can zoom in and out easily. Is that not what they are talking about?

No Google Goggles? WTF? Isn't that one of the premier features of 2.1?
No, pinch-and-zoom is sorta like this: Put your index and middle fingertips on the screen, almost touching. Now spread your fingers apart, keeping them touching the screen. The image should get bigger or zoom....but my 1.5 can already do that when in the photo gallery. I click on a picture and can zoom in and out easily. Is that not what they are talking about?
I'm on 1.5 and my photo gallery also has pinch-and-zoom (using two fingers), exactly as you described. No, pinch-and-zoom is sorta like this: Put your index and middle fingertips on the screen, almost touching. IMO, this feature also depends on the application, so maybe the app(s) in question require 2.x before this feature is available (?). It's kinda of a freebie feature that VZW can claim.I, too, was questioning why VZW was advertising this as an "upgrade"...

Correct. Downloading now.Google Goggles requires 2.x (?) and will be available in the Market after your phone is updated.
