Root FreshEvo > flash nohtclock via FreshUpdater = brick?

So I went to the FreshUpdater program intending to flash over the remove htc lock screen theme. It said to flash AmonRA recovery, so I opened Rom Manager, did that, said it was installed correctly. Flashed the update, said it had to reboot in recovery mode to install, rebooted, stays on htc EVO 4G screen forever. after ten minutes I power down and go into the menu and go to recovery, sticks on htc EVO 4G again.

1) what did I do wrong

2) how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance

edit:

K, so, after two more reboots, one lasting four minutes, then another that turned on right after i re-inserted the battery, it works. Anyone care to explain why?

be happy it works...

one time i had to pull my sdcard and put it back in before my phone would reboot if i didnt the screen wouldnt even turn on idk why but its just something that happened i've had to do that 2 times so far.

When all else fails, follow directions (and pull the battery).
If you don't have it, try Boot loader to get into recovery.

Edit
Did I say Boot loader... don't know what that is...
I meant Quick Boot.

It could have been a number of different things. I mean, Evo is a mini computer.

My best guess, since I do not have your device.. Is it probably didn't completely read the combination you had after it rebooted. It might have still had cache'? in the RAM and was still trying to boot into the Kernel and/or ROM you had previously installed.

Then again, your device might have just had a damn Boot-Fart (Brain-fart). lol

As stated above, glad you got it working and didn't get Bricked!

Had a similar issue with BakedSnack. It just happens sometimes. I always keep a stock + amunra PC36IMG.zip on my sd root just incase. As long as you can get into HBOOT you should be fine. Worst case I let it reflash to a good state and start all over again.
